Easy Mushroom Pizza Recipe (With Store-Bought Crust)
If you love mushrooms and want a quick, delicious homemade pizza, this recipe is for you! Using a pre-made crust from the bread aisle, this recipe keeps things simple while delivering great flavor. Perfect for a fast weeknight meal or a satisfying snack.
Ingredients:
1 store-bought pizza crust
½ cup pizza sauce
1 to 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup button mushrooms, sliced
1 tablespoon olive oil
½ teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
½ teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional)
Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions:
Preheat the oven according to the pizza crust package instructions (usually around 400-450°F).
Prepare the mushrooms: Heat a pan over medium heat and add olive oil. Sauté the sliced mushrooms for 5-7 minutes until soft and slightly golden. Add a pinch of salt and pepper. (Optional: Add garlic powder for extra flavor.)
Assemble the pizza: Place the pizza crust on a baking sheet or pizza stone. Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the crust. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese on top. Evenly distribute the sautéed mushrooms. If desired, sprinkle Italian seasoning on top.
Bake the pizza according to the crust instructions (usually 10-15 minutes) or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Cool and serve: Let the pizza cool for a few minutes before slicing. Enjoy!
Tips & Variations:
Try adding other toppings like onions, bell peppers, or spinach.
Want more protein? Add cooked chicken or crumbled sausage.
